Canning Part 2
I made some salsa ended up with 1 quart, 10 pints and 3 half pints.
I used the steamer again. So maybe next time I will use the pressure canner.
The next batch I have will be stewed tomatoes.

Canning
Well this was my first time canning since my mom, sister and grandma were all together CANNING! Grandma had us making everything tomatoes could, all the jam and jellies we would ever need to eat, and pickles of every flavor and variety. We even canned concord grape juice once I think. I am sure we did more then that but that is what is stuck in my brain. I might not have enjoyed it then but I miss it now. So Mom had to deal with me giving her a photo of my every step. I used my mom's/grandma's steam canner. That thing is over 100 years old I swear and it work wonderfully. I only made three quarts of stewed tomatoes, but I had a great HOT time doing it. It brought back a lot of memories. Next will be salsa!

The garden
The tomatoes are so heavy with fruit that their branches are bending. They look more like a single bush instead of four plants. I have also had to put tie downs on the cages to help support them. I can't wait to start canning.
